As the largest and most complex joint of the body, the knee is extremely vulnerable to injuries. The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is the most commonly injured knee ligament, they are more common in female athletes (due to structural problems) and relatively common among athletes across a variety of sports.
Injuries occur with sudden stopping or twisting movements of the knee. Sudden movements such as directional changes, hyperextension and over flexion can rupture, or tear the ligament. Which leads to a decrease in both strength and stability of your knee.
Here at Complete Conditioning we specialise in the rehabilitation of your ACL. We start with a consultation for a screening and to discuss goal setting before assisting you every step of the way through your rehab via 1-2-1 sessions, testing and monitoring. No matter what stage you may be at, we can help.
